I'm going to get my window's tinted, and was wondering if anyone knew the regulations or whatever for California?

 

California law limits the 2 front windows to 70%. However, 70% is extremely light and basically the tint is non-existant. If you are looking for tint just to blend in the windows a bit then get 50%. Thats what I have and it is very subtle but looks good. It's gonna be very hard for a cop to notice 50% and deem it enough to pull you over.






I got 50% in the front/quarters and 35% at the back.

 

if you have an '07 or older, remember to pick up moleskin, so your tint wont get scratched

I live in TO as well, 17 in the front, 5 in the back. Never have had a problem for about a year or more now.

 

Probably a good thing I don't live in Ca. I have 20% all the way around. Where I live at law is 35% for the front and as dark as you want on the back, but only enforced by State law. Have to get car inspected this year as long as windows are down most inspection stations don't bother.
