Default window tint scratching

i keep having problems with my tint, passenger window. The tint on there is like 20% or 25% w/e but either way every time i put the window it keeps scratching up my tint, making all this squeaking noise, pissing me off. Im guessing its not the tint because its not doing on the driver side. Im assuming its the door, or something in the door.....any ideas? What should i do? take the door off panel off? how do i do that?

I'll bet you tinted them yourself right? I bought my car tinted and it was crap from the start. I took it to a pro to see if it could be fixed. I guess there is a pad that you have to use in the window channel or it scratches. This is why if somebody asks for an opinion on windows I say, "take it to a pro". Then they cheap out, go to Auto Zone and 2 months later they are on here asking how to fix this. I had an estimate to fix my tint.....about $300 to remove and replace it. It's cheaper to take it to a pro. Good luck and hope you can get it fixed for less.

nah i did take it to a window tint place. i dont have the patience to the tint myself haha....but like im thinking some theres some hitting the window every time i put it down u know. i dont know what it would be, i took it back to them and they said it was my door, i dont know if they are just trying to get out doing it again, but they something could be pressing up on the window, or that there is dirt in like weather stripping part or something.

What car do you have? you may have needed to have your windows felted otherwise it scratches your tint like you said.

This has kind of been a comman problem. What you need to do is to remove the door panel and check the "inside" rubber weather strip and you should find that either it has somekind of materal that is attached to it or not. If there is you will need to replace it with new felt or see if you can find what is on it that is causing the scratch and remove it.
