I don't know how long it will last out doors, but when my car is garaged nightly the glaze will keep the paint looking and feeling really slick for a couple days. The beauty of the glaze, especially with a machine to apply it, you use so little of it and it's so effortless to put on and remove. And if you get lazy or are working too quickly to buff it off and you miss a spot, it doesn't haze bad and you won't be embarassed about the 2x3 block you managed to not buff off at the bottom of your door.
