I think it's just a matter of removing the stock handle, pushing out the metal, getting some bondo and then primer and paint. It's neat and all but it's not worth the hassle.
You take the handle off, get a piece of metal (sheet metal) cut to the fit of the left space. Spot weld it on, then grind it down smooth and then bondo it, repaint it and thats it. Besides installing the poppers and all that, thats all there is to it.
