convertible top cleaning tips/help

I tried the simple green route on mine and it did not work too well. I even tried it straight and it did not work as well as the clorox.

I wish I could help by telling what to use, but I can tell what didn't work for me:

I folowed the directions. I scrubed in a circular motion as well as back and forth. It failed to get the cat paw prints off my vinyl top.
Very disappointed.
The 303 Protectant is a great product, the convertible cleaner worked about as well as tap water.
