Default convertible top cleaning tips/help

i have a 96 gt and the car sat for a few years unused. i had it covered but someone stole the car cover. so it sat at my grandparents for the last year without a cover. well the convertible top has grown what it looks like mold. finally got around to fixing the intake manifold and replacing all spark plugs oil filter etc and washed waxed the car today. hit the top with ajax and a scrub brush. got a majority of the ish out but still have spots where some mold was. is there any other way to get those spots out or am i facked?

my uncle was telling me that they sell paints that i can actually use to repaint he top but i think he is just talking out his ***

I have a white top and I used clorox with bleach cleanser, scrubbed it, rinsed it and let it sit in the sun and it came out pretty darn good. Other than that try a handheld steamer. Good luck

I use all purpose cleaner with a detailing brush to clean vinyl tops. I've dealt with lots of molded tops and can get them looking new again.

I carry an all purpose cleaner with my Obsessive Detail line. You can get Simple Green and Zep over the counter. You always want to dilute with water. I would start with 12:1 and go from there. That is 12 parts water and 1 part product.
