i have also used a leaf blower, the back-pack kind. also a good tip for drying off your car that i have read online that really works too is, instead of using a spray tip on the hose to adjust the spray, take that off and let the water just come out of the hose on to the car. this leaves less water droplets on the car making it easier to dry. really works tooo!!!!

i take the nozzle off the water hose, then rinse the car with just that. it will leave a little bit of water here and there, but nothing like using it with the nozzle on. then you can dry what is left with a regular microfiber towel. works great, no spots or scratches.

ever try that auto-dry car wash system from Mr. Clean? I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, I hear it is worth trying.

I'd use an air compressor before I use the leaf blower. An air compressor uses its OWN, clean air that it builds from internal pressure. A leaf blower uses outside air that is "sucked" in and blown out. So if you suck in dust or whatever, your blowing it across your baby [&:]

Plus, potential horror story for you all that use the blower. You better make sure your "shoot" is screwed on tight, even with some extra screws that you might want to add! I use my leaf blower to blow off the major dust from my beater F150 when done mowing the grass, and one day the shoot decided to blow right off and across the hood - YIKES!! Could you image the look on your face if that happened to your pride and joy [:@]

My redmax EB7001 backpack leaf blower. It's a little overkill though. I don't need 700+ CFM's and 200+ MPH to dry my car. lol. But it gets it done fast and good.

Use a california water blade (or any other car squeegee) to get majority of the water off. Then use the towel, i find it makes things a lot quicker. I have to work fast becuase I have a black car, and the cali water blade was one of my best investments!
