hi,
im in the process of getting my 67 mustang painted and had a few questions about the different types of paint. i managed to talk the shop into doing my whole car for $2,500 considering theres no body work needed. they said they'll do the car for that price using "ppg paint material and will also etch prime for corrosion protection". so my questions are:
1)what is ppg paint material? is it a type of paint and if so is this a high,average, or low quality paint?
2)what is etch priming for corrosion protection? i figure its going to be spot priming those prone corrosion spots know to classic mustangs but what is etch? im not sure if this is a painters lingo or if its a band or type of paint

apologize in advance for the "noob/squid" type paint questions. first time getting a paint job and just wanted to know exactly what it is that im getting for my money
