Default Factory Hood Scoop

I'm assuming everyone who got the muscle appearance package has a problem with water getting caught between the hood and the scoop, which then streams out during driving and leaves these dingy trails that move up the hood. Has anyone found a way to seal off the gap between the two to make drying easier?

Well... I imagine you would have to first remove the scoop then very carefully place automotive 3m tape on the bottom of all the edges including the front plastic honeycomb plate.

I've never done it before, so this is just an idea.
I recently ordered a scoop for my v6, and I think I'll try that idea.

Buy can of spray air. Spray the scoop edges, dry with towel. No more water marks when driving.

I would put a towel in the honeycomb and then take a compressor and blow out all the nonsense in there. Be careful when you go to clean up any water you may blow out, odds are there is dust & dirt that is going to come out with that water. Spray with some quick detailer and use no pressure when wiping that up, so you don't marr your paint.
