i would say that you would get a shinyer version of the same colors. wont change collor back to original shade.

Rust-o-leum makes a product called Re-Color, and it is AMAZING! It only takes 1 kit to do the entire car, you should take a before and after, though. You will be blown away at how great it turns out!!! :-D

Anyway, read up: there are any number ways to damage your paint with these.

Also articles there on restoring.

I'm so far from an effort that I haven't gone past clay bar, polish, and wax.

Also, if you have tricot paint, the odds arent' good for restoring. You can only buff the top (clear) layer, which won't do anything to the color or metal layers beneath them.

OTOH, if it's a single layer paint, wonders can be done if you're careful. He has images of a 1940 where he restored the original color with the original paint.

I have no connection, but it's one of my favorite toy stores, and where I go to keep my '97 preserved.
