Default Tranny fluid on carpet

So i replaced the tranny fluid in my car and had part of a bottle of royal purple synchromax left. Well long story short, i was driving a little too spirited and i would guess about a 1/4 of a teaspoon of tranny fluid got spilled on the carpet of my mustang (and not the floormats). I tried soaking up as much as i could with paper towels and newspaper, but i can still smell it very faintly. what do you recommend for getting the last little bit out and covering up the smell?

Is there a stain? Typically I clean my carpet with liquid laundry detergent. I pour water on my carpet, pour some on there, scrub with a brush, and suck up with a wet vac.
It re-fluffs your carpet, gets stains out, and makes your car smell fresh.
If it is a small area, you may do they same with a small amount of liquid dish detergent, because it will pull out the grease. If you dont remove it, it will take a long time to get rid of the smell, and it will attrack dirt big time.

I have black carpets and it was royal purple tranny fluid, so you can't see it. The smell seems to have diminished, but I will try some liquid dish soap just to be safe. I assume the smell will return during the first hot day. Thanks for the help!
