Primer Overspray! How do i Remove it !
So i had a freind do some body work on the hood of my stang and he happened to get rattle can self etching primer all over my fender how do i get rid of it without damaging/respraying the fender
I wouldn't expect a consumer clay to remove overspray like that -- it's more for spray that has been carried in the air and not sprayed directly.
You might an "aggressive" clay from a detail house, or Meguiar's also sells one in their professional Mirror Glaze brand -- it's in a small black jar and is a red clay, and runs about 30 bucks. You will have to follow with some polishing.
Based on my limited experience with rattle can oversprays, and "etching primer" doesn't sound too friendly, you're likely going to have to polish with a rotary -- thus, I'd take it to a pro who you trust and knows what they're doing.
