Default Underbody paint job

My friend own a 2005 Ford Mustang and he is looking to paint the underbody. It seemed odd to me at first because I have never heard of it done before, but now I think its a good idea to preserve the underbody and help to prevent rusting. Wondering some easy ways to perform this task perfectly.

Thanks in advance for your tips and ideas.

is he looking to paint it with like an undercoating of sorts? or does he want to paint it for show purposes as well? some people paint underbody parts to match the car color. and you will want to leave the driveshaft in because it will rust over time too. and yes, you will want a lift and you will probably want to wire wheel all the loose crap that is stuck up there already. give it a decent prep, or it will be pointless to paint it in the first place.
