Default Paint gun/Compressor set up

Hey guys. Hoping someone can help me out! I want to get a good paint gun set and a compressor to use for painting parts for cars - I would say I am not going to paint an entire car at once, maybe a door or hood at most (if that changes how big of a compressor I would need).

What should I look for in paint guns?

And how big of a compressor do you think is needed for that type of painting?

Thanks a ton!

Is there maybe a different section I should ask this? Or, anyone?

If you don't want your compressor running constantly, I would go with at least a 60 gallon tank with a 2-stage compressor.
As far as paint guns go, I believe you get what you pay for. I personally prefer the "Sata" brand guns, but depending on the model gun you buy, they are $400 and up. A good starter quality gun manufacturer is "Devilbiss." They are considerably lower in cost and provide good results.

I have sprayed completes with the set-up I explained above. Although you may be starting out just spraying a couple panels, you won't have to worry about your compressor running all the time and you will have room to grow into spraying completes.

.......Well, I have never used "Maxair" before, but according to the reviews, it seems like a good buy. That kit would be nice to have since it comes with two spray guns and a touch-up gun. That way you could have one for your clear-coat applications and one for your base-coat applications....then you would just have to buy a cheap primer gun if you needed one.
As far as "Devilbiss" goes, I have used these guns before and I know they put out good results.
Now if it was me, I would buy the Maxair kit simply because it comes with two guns, which you will need. You don't want to spray your base through the same gun as your clear, in case you didn't know.
Since you are starting out doing small jobs, I would try the Maxair kit. If it sucks, at least you only spent a little over 100 bucks. If that ends up being the case, then I would buy Devilbiss or Sata, but like I said, they get spendy. I'm kind of curious about that Maxair kit. Let me know what you decide!!
