Thanks for the info. I had heard you should have a gun for each 'layer.' Guess I kinda thought you could use the basecoat one for the primer too, but thinking about it, that's probably a bad idea... Guess I'll look around for one of those, too, haha.

Yes...BAD IDEA. Have a gun designated for primer only. A lot of guys will also have two guns for base coat applications...one for solid colors and one for metallics, but as long as you keep your gun clean and clean it after every use, you will be fine.
