Exclamation black car detailing trouble

i have polished my car with mothers sealer and glaze and waxed it. The first 2 washes i can start seeing the scratches and stuff again. I spent like 2 hours on the car and it just keeps fading. People have recommend using a clay bar what else can i do to keep that wet look all the time. I love my car to look good so i don't care what i got to do.

Thanks Guys

It sounds like you need to polish the paint and then put a glaze and wax it. A combo that you can't go wrong with is Meguiars M105 and M205 combo, this will make your paint look awesome again.

I have the same issue. I previously had a Torch Red Stang, and scratches and swirl marks were much harder to see. On the Black '10 I've got now...it is impossible to keep that "wet" look your describing. I would suggest looking at the Mequiers website as they have lots of tips on how to keep it as clean as possible. Everything matters, from your washing/drying technique to your everyday maintenance. I've found that its something I'm just going to have to deal with, as I don't have the time or will to put that much work into my daily driver to keep it perfect.

Yes, the M105 and M205 work well with the Mothers Powerball for paint. There was a member on another detail forum that I sponsor that tested these out and produced awesome results.

I saw that write up. Pretty creative for the person not looking at a DA or rotary option. I'm no expert like juztang, just detail as a hobby and small side job. But looking to turn it into a full time thing once things get going. It seems to me like you didn't remove many of the scratches or swirls. The glaze you put on is basically a filler. Which filled in and hid most of the scratches you are talking about. Now the glaze is wearing off and you are starting to see those scratches you filled in start to show their eye again. Hit the car with the 105/205 combo like juztang stated, seal it, then protect it ie...Carnuba, Glaze, Paste which ever you choose. Or layering is also an option. Like I said I'm no pro, nor do I claim to be. Just my point of view.

From what ive learned on getting rid of scratches is bring it to an expert detailer... Have them use a high speed buffer and let them go to town on it. I got mine detailed a year ago and it just absolutely shines... Waxing will make the paint basically just smooth again but if you want it done right, pay the extra cash and get it buffed.. This is the only true best way to get rid of those swirl marks. Clay bar I use to get rid of break dust rust on my paint. I have a white truck and the clay bar is really good for getting that out. But it didnt do much for the swirl marks in the white paint. Hope this helps!
