I would suggest looking at the Mequiers website as they have lots of tips on how to keep it as clean as possible. Everything matters, from your washing/drying technique to your everyday maintenance. I've found that its something I'm just going to have to deal with, as I don't have the time or will to put that much work into my daily driver to keep it perfect.
You bring out a good point I get asked all the time. How do I still maintain my 06's paint looking like brand new. See my photo album. I have to tell you that, before I got my black stang I did some research into how to best take care of the black paint. That's how I found this forum and Juztang posts. In four years of owning my black stang, I have never used a bucket, hose, soap or sponge.

All the products I use I got from Obsessive Detail--from day 1. From waterless wash, to microfiber towels to the wet obsession detail wax--which is, in my opinion, the best on the market. If you have a dark colored stang or are about to get one and want that paint looking like new--you have to start taking care of it from the moment you get it into your hands. I even told the dealership not to wash the stang before me driving it home.
