Water Spots
Got a question for you guys. Today I used a clay bar on my car and then followed it with wax. I am still finding that there were some what appear to be water spots in certain areas. I have never ever experienced anything like this. I used a certain product not long ago that for now I will not mention. I also now notice that lint seems to be like a magnet on my paint. This also started after using this certain product. Anyone ever seen anything like this or experienced it? I figured the clay bar would remove everything including any spots.
Have you checked out on Adam's polishes? The best way to remove water spots is to polish the car. Clay barring just removes contaminants. http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-Videos_DVD5_10.aspx
Stang as a matter of fact I do have some Adams products on the way. In general though, wouldn't clay barring followed by waxing normally remove water spots? I have never seen anything like it. The only thing different is I tried a certain product that I have never used before. Ever since then things have been kind of weird.
depending on how severe the water spots are. Clay barring won't remove water spots. I did a car with really bad water spots and the clay bar didn't do anything. The best method is polishing the surface and removing the spots before they etch to far. You can always try even parts of water and vinegar.

As suggested, try spraying a 50/50 mix of water and vineger. If the spots are minerals deposits on the surface, this should remove them.
You may also want to try using an AIO product such as Klausse All in One which can be effective in removing them. It contains no abrasives but does have chemical cleaners in it which can be effective on water spots. I used this myself a month or so ago on my water spots and it worked well.
If not, then they are most likely etched into the clear coat, The only way to remove them is to polish them out. Good luck.
