Default how long does it take you?

does it normally take yall to wash, clay bar, polish, and wax your car?
i did it 2 wknds ago and it took me about 8 hours WITHOUT waxing the car. and i realized i didnt spend enough time on the polishing because the polish wasnt completely broken down before i wiped it off. am i just really slow? lol

I have never claybarred the whole thing at all once, usually I break it up into sections.

But wash, polish and wax will take me 3 to 4 hours. At least, and thats only if I am motivated to get it done quick. lol Add 3 to 4 beers and it can be a 6 hour job.

Me and My dad have always had races to see who could do who's mustang quicker...and he usually beat me, but you won't believe me when I tell you..

Under the right weather and no one bugging us...We could do the entire process in about4-5 hours, BUT thats without doing the clay bar. We would wash..compund/swirlx (if needed)...polish...wax...and wash...all in that time frame...

Last time I did mine:
Wash, clay, polish (1 stage only), and apply sealant: About 10 hours

Just did my wifes van which was a 2 stage polish and it took me a day and a half (about 15 hours total).

It takes time to do things right.

The first and only time I have done my car with a wash, no clay, then polish with a Porter Cable 7424 and wax took me about 6 hours. I would like to do it again when there are a couple of cool days in the near future but go over the car twice with the polisher. Maybe spread it out over 2 days. So, if I go over it twice, I expect it to take 10 hours or more.
