Default Ever Regret Stripes?

My 'stang came with silver vinyl stripes, within the first 3 weeks of having the car I had some side scoops and window louvers installed, and had the stripes removed. For about a week after that I was driving with a solid white car, I liked it, but had scheduled to get black stripes painted on (never saw a white Mustang w/ black stripes in my region, southern WV). So I get the stripes and loved them. But now I think about them often, wondering if I should have gotten them or not. Oh well...getting my wheels painted black soon so that should make a big difference.

So back to the question, does anyone regret getting stripes?

Not here... I bought my car with the stripes and I can't imagine running without them. I'm thinking around spring of next year having it restriped with a slightly different theme.

I was a nervous wreck to get stripes on my car. They are not painted or anything, but it took the dealership about 2 weeks to get them in. One day I wanted them the next I did not. Now that I have them I actually love them. Seems to be one of the things people love the most with the exception of my wheels....believe it or not.

Planned on striping my car the second I bought it. Couldn't find a stripe-kit that I was happy with, so I bought solid uncut rolls and designed and put them on myself. I love how they look and wouldn't change a thing. I also think that vinyl is the way to go.

I just joined up today, so my pics are still near the top on the newcomers area: https://mustangforums.com/forum/new-...ays-howdy.html

@Machracer11, vinyl is cheap. You could probably redo your factory vinyl for under $100.00 make that baby look brand-spankin' new!

114K? That's got to be at least 10 years. The vinyl is only good for about 4 to 5 years. I'd say you got your monies worth.

I'm not liking the idea of having to tape the things off to remove swirls in the paint and fear having to do between the big stripe and the little ones by hand. That said, it's not the same car minus stripes. i love them and would not remove them ever. I didn't want them painted so i could change them later if I wanted.
