Default ’93 Cobra grill insert

I see ads for the '93 Cobra grill insert and it looks like its just the piece between the headlights. Do '93 Cobras have a separate grill unlike, say LX's which are one with the bumper? Is this piece they advertise used to convert GT or LX grills, and if so how? I think it would look cool on my LX but it don't see how it would work. Thanks for any input.

Default ’93 Cobra grill insert

aight im here. i just bought a cobra grille insert for a GT front bumper. i have a 93 lx, but im in the process to converting to a 306 cobra. u can get the grille insert and pony for 89.95 shipped which is the best price around (trust me, i looked through every magazine and on the internet as well). what i had to do was use a dremel tool with a cutting wheel and cut out a shape in my bumper. ok dont start freaking out now about cutting ur bumper. with the kit comes a template that u cut out. u very easily trace the template on the drivers side and passenger side. after that, remove the template and cut. then sand the edges to get rid of possbile sharp edges. i have recently filled in small gaps with bondo and im making it flush with the rest of my bumper. also, there are 2 screws to help secure the insert on the top of the piece. the insert already comes with the 3M adhesive tape that it needs to stick to the bumper. if u want to check it out, i got mine from design concepts for 89.95 shipped! their website is http://www.designconceptsauto.com. then scroll down and go to the ground effects page and its abotu half way down the page.

thats pretty much everything u need to know. it comes with directions and everything. if u would like anymore information, dont hesitate to post again or email me at jdc1986@aol.com.

hope this helps!
