Sand and Silt
So just got my car detailed yesterday, drove off this morning looking pritty. Go out to my car for lunch, and it is covered in a fine sand or silt. could wash it again, however, can any of you think of another good way to remove this w/o leaving micro scratches?
p.s. At times I really hate SoCal

If it actually is gritty material like sand or silt do anything you can to avoid touching. If you have a compressor you can even try to knock loose the majority of it using that. If you do have to go with a dusting method use a good encapsulating cleaner designed for safe removal of dust like our waterless wash.
Use a high quality microfiber towel - wipe in one continuous direction to the end of the panel, flip the towel and repeat. Don't do back and forth, don't do circles, don't reuse the same side of the towel once its dirty. Don't stress about streaking at this point, just concentrate on safely removing grit... once the paint is decontaminated then you can go back over it with a quick Detail Spray and a fresh towel to address any streaks or smudges.
Might take you a lot of product and a lot of towels, but grit on the surface and improper removal will swirl the hell out of your finish in no time flat!
