Default Grabber Blue paint

Any thoughts out there on the Grabber Blue color paint on the 2011's? I like to consider myself knowledgeable when it comes to proper care of paint jobs. I only use microfiber sponges and drying towels but i keep seeing more and more swirl marks. Is this paint or clear coat "softer" then other paints I have came across. It's beginning to drive me nuts. Thanks for your input.

if you are using junky towels with tags they will cause scratches. if you are using dirty rinse water too, a good two bucket wash will reduce those and a porter cable and some adam's products will shed the swirls you have.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I only use clean microfiber drying towels and microfiber sponges, clean water as best can be done. I even wash and dry them by themselves without fabric softner. I've never had this issue with my previous cars to where they are showing up so quickly. Maybe this shade of blue shows them better? Maybe I've became OCD with this new Mustang? Anyway, sharp Mustang and I'll check into the Adams products.

i learned the hard way all microfiber towels are not the same. I had some from walmart when i first got my car and i could see them leaving scratches. i have two from Adams that are four times a thick and you can rub away and not scratch. i also have a bunch i bought from chemical guys too that work well. just be sure to remove tags and you shouldnt use fabric softener or dryer sheets. I have some special laundry cleaner for mine to keep them in top shape.

Look at how you dry the car too, drying can leave scratches. Hit you tube and look up junkman2000 videos. He is an Adams guy and has some great vids on keeping your car swirl free.

you definitely don't want to cheap out on microfiber towels. As far as paint protection, a good layer of wax always help. I personally recommend Adam's polishes. They are simply one of the best auto care companies out there. Here are videos of how to take care of your cars paint. http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-Videos_DVD5_1.aspx
Check out the series. Any questions, just ask

LOVE LOVE LOVE the grabber blue, but its a base/clear job so its not any harder/softer than any other of the 2011's

Proper wash technique and tools is a big part of proper paint care and prevention of swirls.... and not all microfiber is created equal.

So basically you need to shop for a solution to remove what damage you have and then, more importantly, change your wash habits/materials to prevent them from being reintroduced.

If you need any help or advice feel free to shoot me an email - Dylan@AdamsPolishes.com
