Default Blacked Out Front Pony

I tinted my headlights and blacked out the pony this weekend. I guess I'm officially on the Dark Side now. :-) I'm liking the look. Marker lights are happening next weelend.

What did you use to black out the front emblem?

I used VHT Nite Shades. I originally wanted black chrome paint but I couldn't find any at the local stores, so I tried it and it looks pretty good. All you need is one coat. It's just the right amount to let some of the original chrome show through. It actually looks like I used black chrome paint.

I didn't have much time to do this, so the first attempt I didn't let the paint dry enough and I smudged it pretty good. So I sanded it down with some really fine sand paper and applied another coat. Then I used a blow dryer to speed up the drying process. Worked like a charm.

Awesome. Thanks. I really want to do this to my front emblem but was worried about how it would come out because I have seen some pretty bad end results of using nite shades on emblems and then some amazing looking ones like yours. It really looks great from the picture.
