Default Stripped rim clearcoat what polish should I use?

I just stripped my 18" rims clearcoat off now I'd like to know the best polish or product to protect the non-clearcoated rims. The rims have light pitting as well, any help with that would also be appreciated.

Not trying to be rude at all or anything, but how and why did you strip the clearcoat off of the rim?

I used a paint stripper, because the clear was peeling and the rim was tarnishing underneath. The only way to remove that tarnish was by stripping the clearcoat.

You might want to try Dupli-Color Wheel Coating, they have it in clear. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/wheelCoating/ I don't know anything about their wheel coating, just happened to see it on their website while I was looking at caliper paint.

Honestly I would have to say go and get your wheels professionally refinished because it is probably going to be a PITA keeping the uncoated wheels clean.
If not, you could always use something like optimum metal polish or P21S polishing soap to clean them up.
Optimum metal polish will be more abrasive than p21s is.
then you are going to want to use a good metal sealant on the wheels.

you stripped off just the clearcoat or stripped everything off?

my rims seem to be in the same condition yours were. clear is coming off, and the silver underneath is looking crappy.
i was going to start looking into getting them refinished a little down the line (once i put the engine back together)

I stripped everything off paint and clearcoat. Some of the clear was really hard to get off though, I suggest using a pressure washer to remove the stripper and use the pressure to slowly peel any small remaining pieces.

Yes the spider web tarnish on the rims was easily removed with 1500 wet sanding then a good polish with mag and aluminum polish, I then coated the wheels with a light coat of wax for protection
