What's the diameter of the pipes in a stock 1994 GT 5.0? Is it 2-1/4, 2-1/2, 2-3/4, etc.,etc?</P>


Also, what muffler type do I need? Straight through, off set, etc.,etc.?</P>


I'm asking so that I know what size to get when I place the order.</P>

i think theyre 2 1/4. with out looking i dont know the offset

 

Stocks are 2.25. It really wont matter offset or straight through, offset, like flowmaster for example gives better rumble (I have the American Thunder Cat backs), but straight through will be better for performance (Magnaflow - real good). You should go with 2.5in, its the most widely used, and make sure to get a nice X pipe from BBK w/o cats, or a mac prochamber. Dont get the BBK H pipe, it hangs too low. Go with some nice headers too from FRPP or BBK to complete the system. Thats all you need in terms of exhaust.
