Default VHT Nightshade/Shadow

Was wondering if any one has used DupliColor VHT nightshade for the headlights and taillights, or the dupli-color shadow chrome kit for their rims.

I would not like to have my headlights, tailights, or rims be completely black. I'm going for more of a "smoked" see through look. Am I able to do this just by applying lighter coats of the products I have?

If any one has pictures or tips, please post in here. I would like as much knowledge on it as possible since I will be doing it myself and have never done it before.

its not that hard, just like any other painting project its all bout the prep. I did my headlights and tail lights. Keep your layers even and be sure to clear it to protect it.
