Default Tint question / need help deciding

I am having my back window re tinted. All of the windows currently have 20% on them now but have been leaning towards 5% for the back window. I am concerned it may clash if the back window is darker than the rest. I figured it would be best to ask for your opinions before I shelled out the cash to have it done.

15% all around here, except front the windshield obviously. The rear window shouldn't clash MUCH, but i like the look of all even. That's just me.

Do you have any pictures? I have been wanting to get my windows darker since it currently has the same tint that was applied to it at the dealership requested by the first owner but its not dark enough. Idk if i should go with 15% or 20%.

Bare with me because this is a two part answer.

I will post some for you but it is cloudy out today and the weather is supposed to get worse.

Sides are 20% and went with 5% on the rear. I am happy with the 5% on the back. Problem is I'm not happy with the quality of the work (looked great when I picked it up). They already agreed to redo it so I won't flame them. I will add the details later with the pic and what I don't like about it. I will try to get the pic posted this evening for you.

It is hard to tell because of the weather. What I can do is give you a really good description so you will know what to expect and know what not to do. 5% on the rear. I had no issues seeing cars behind me at night. Backing up at night hasn't posed any problems so far. I have only had to back up a couple times so far. Driving in the daytime I caught myself flipping my mirror thinking it was set for night. All in all I'm really pleased with the 5%. It really looks sharp in bright sunlight.

What I don't like is they had went ahead and done the dotted matrix even after warning them that it won't adhere right. When I picked it up he was all proud of himself that he was able to do the dotted matrix. At that time I didn't bitch because it really did look good and was surprised at how well it did come out. It slowly looked worse by the day. Also there are little speckles throughout that continue to be more and more every time I look at it. I took it back and showed them and he said the glass must not have been prepped properly and agreed to redo it at no charge.

I cut a deal with him and told him I would be willing to pay them to do the dotted matrix in vynal when he redoes the tint. He quoted me $50 for the vynal.

Hope that helps!

Cool thank you, the car looks great! In the sun it does still stay dark right? I mean well since it is cloudy the tints do tend to look darker. Yeah that 5% is really dark, cant see anything in there i bet it looks really good. Do you put your windows down to see at night when making turns to see if any pedestrian are crossing because its too dark?

Thanks again for the pics it really helps, hope you get it fixed but over all it looks good i like it.
