ok this is what i do, get a bucket of water, very hot, out of the tap. i use that for my soap, wash the car, now usally that freezes on the car, but dont worry!! now get a very hot bunket of water, and pour that all over the car to rinse it and melt the ice. then as fast as you can pull it into the garage, and dry it. works good but you gatta be fast so it does not freeze.

I would like to hand wash my mustang this winter also. I also live in MI. I tried hand washing last year on my old car and it froze instantly on the cold metal. Would a no rinse application work here? so like previously stated with the spray bottle you would be washing and drying at the same time? just a though. I just worry about scratching the paint.

do you have access to a garage that you could wash it in? I know it doesnt get anywhere near as cold here in NC as it does in MI, but i always use hot water with my Optimum no rinse when im washing in the winter. that might help with the freezing issue a little bit.

I use the Optimum No Rinse from Justin. The car never even leaves the garage. I just fire up the kerosene heater in the corner, go inside and let it warm up, then go to town after the garage is warm.

If you have the means of going this route, it's a LOT easier and less painful than washing your car outside in the cold. Did it for a while before I discovered ONR.

Take NotStok's advice. I do the same thing. With Optimum No Rinse, you don't need a hose. You just wash from the warm bucket and if you have a garage, you don't even have to open the outside doors. So no extra cold air comes inside. You'll have just a little bit of water on the garage floor...not much at all and you'll stay warmer than outside.

Go with Optimum No Rinse from obsessivedetail.com.

Another vote for Optimum No Rinse. I love this in the winter, but I use this on my personal vehicle and customers vehicles all year round. When it is cold

Enter mustang forum member in the comment box at checkout on my website and get a 10% on the No Rinse. I also carry this on my other website www.theragshack.com. Just enter PROMO10 on there in coupon box and it will automatically give the discount to you.
