Hey guys,
Just got my first pony and so far she's a blast to drive, but there's this issue with whatevers kind of paint the last owner put on the trunk and its peeling alot. It's mainly that part of the trunk shown on the pic, he also used that same paint to put on some stripes across the car that are also peeling. Do you guys have any ideas of what kind of paint it is and if its safe for me to just peel it off? I got a decklid panel to cover it but I was unaware that the panel was transparent and the blemish is still visible. I was just thinking of puting some black tape followed by the decklid panel to cover that nasty spot. Thanks for any help you guys can give!

 

Ouch that looks pretty bad, a body shop might be able to tell you what type of paint he used Might be worth it to just have the trunk repainted.

 

Looks like cheap rattle can job over old paint/bondo - no good.
