Default Plasti-dip on wheels.

Question.
My 09 has the stock chrome wheels but I'm not sure if I want them black or not. If I put a couple coats of plasti-dip and finish it off with wheel paint, would I be able to take it off if I didn't like it without ruining the chrome ? I'm a girl forgive me if this is a dumb question lol.

Absolutely, that's the inherent quality that makes plastidip so popular! I had it on a chin spoiler for MONTHS before I peeled it off. No adverse effects, and there are plenty of people on the forum who have had it on painted parts before peeling it off (or some have even left it on for much longer than I) with no damage to the coating underneath. That stuff is great for deflecting rocks and random road crap, never got a ding on my spoiler while it was plastidipped lol.

I know of very few isolated cases where plastidip has been known to "bake" onto the paint, and become very hard to remove- but I have had no personal experience close to that.

Nice! Thanks. I didn't think so, but I had to make sure.
