Looking to do a full paint correction!!
Alright well now that spring is rolling around and I am disgusted with my cars paint, I think its time to start my paint correction. Curious to see what products you guys are using and what works best. I have a porter cable 7424xp and will be ordering new pads for this correction.
I did a paint correction on my 2010 and used the Wolfgang swirl remover & finishing glaze combo, and it came out great. I removed the swirls with the swirl remover and an orange pad and then finished it up with the glaze and a grey pad. While this did work great, I am wondering if there is anything better out there??
I am seeing that meguiars m105 followed up by m205 seems to be a popular combo but is this the best out there?? Maybe m105 to remove the swirls but instead of finishing up with m105, use the menzerna finishing polish instead?? Looking to get the best results.
Here are some pics of how my 2010 came out last year with the wolfgang combo

Looks great man, from everything that I have read its all personal preference you can try out the V series from Chemical guys or the meguiars I have heard good things about both. I will be doing a complete paint correction as soon as it warms up a little more using the Chemical guys V36 and V38.
Meguiars 105 is prone to dusting, a lot of guys use it but I have found it harder to work with than other products. Optimum compound and optimum polish produce equal results and are easier to work with. Finish it up with Optimum poly seal and you will be happy with the results. Poly seal is a good onestep product for follow up maintenance. Hope this helps, great results on your previous details.
I use 105 with Lake Country Yellow cutting pad, followed by Orange Pad. Then 205 With Grey Pad. Then Blackfire Sealant and Aquawax on top of that. ( I think I see you use foam pads as well?)
It is a popular combo, as far as the best, it all depends on the paint condition. I have a friend that polished his car with m101 then m105 followed by m205. That worked for him, but obviously he is not going to be able to take m101 to his paint again.
There are plenty of combos that work out there, I see you had awesome results with wolfgang. Bottom line, everyone will be saying different things as they are comfortable with what they use.
Just have fun with it! (well honestly it is a pain in the rear to do the whole car, but the results are worth it
)

Wolfgang FTMFW. You can't beat the way TSR 3.0 finishes out. It gets out all the moderate-heavy swirls and finishes out without any micro-marring. Honestly, the glaze doesn't even do anything extra for me.
I don't like the idea of a two-step correction where the more abrasive product leaves behind tiny micro-marring. Yuck. I used the line of Pinnacle XMT products once... nope. Even the finishing glaze had some very slight micro-marring.
I'll stand behind Wolfgang all day long.

looking at how flawless your paint looks in your older pics, I'd *love* to see what you feel is out of control / what it looks like right now.
show us some before and after shots! you did a great job on the last detail.
