Default Is this detailing product adequate?

just saw a new product advertised on TV, Meguiars DA Power System.

http://www.autodetailingsolutions.ne...googleproducts

i was thinking of getting one of those dual action systems that autogeek.com recommends, but those are like $250. this thing is $60 bucks. since i just bought new wheels, and need some more stuff, saving money is big for me. does this product seem trustworthy? it looks like it can get the job done, but im still really new to detailing.

what they are not telling you in that video is that when you attach something to a drill, it mimics a rotary buffer...that's why he was moving so fast because that pad is going to heat up and if you sit in one place too long you will burn through the paint...if saving money is your main priorety i'd save up and get a porter cable 7424xp, especially since you're new to everything...it's literally the SAFEST tool when polishing...i use Adam's Polishes when i detail (among other products as well) but when it comes to polishing, their polishing system takes all the guess which pad and polish you need to use because it's a three pad, three polish system...if you don't wanna buy from them that's cool, but check out their site adamspolishes.com and just see how easy it is to use the PC

thanks for the advice... i mean, the meguairs product has gears inside of it to keep it wiggling, but i wasn't sure. i'm glad i held off on buying this one if it also risks burning through the paint. i'll just keep savin' ma pennies, and continue to work by hand for now.

Until I can afford the Cable Porter I found a "Turtle Wax" buffer that does great and was
$28.00 at Wallyworld.

Check out the Meguiars forum. Lots of people use the DA Power System with good results.

That being said, I would rather use a regular DA polisher any day. But the DAPS will give you much better results than that Turtle Wax POS.
