Need some interior parts...
Anyone know where I could get my hands on the interior walls of an '84 hatchback? Mine are stained and scuffed and won't come off with the top quality cleaning solutions. I guess I could just paint over it... I also need a new dash, mine is cracked to hell. I have a DashMaf cover over it right now but would like to get it replaced when I replace the in-dash speakers.
It sounds to me like I'll just need to hit up a junk shop because all of the sites I've looked at don't really get into interior remodeling. Also I'm needing some new wheels so if anyone's got some 15-17 inchers they're wanting to get rid of... I think I've got that covered though. As far as paint goes I'm going to go with a cobalt or electric blue I think. I'm going to paint the black vents on the side and the black around the headlights and in the grill to update the look a bit. Topped off with some headlight coveres (clear, not smoked) and I think that coveres the exterior renovation I'm wanting to do.
Any other ideas? The seats aren't in horrible condition but updating the fabric with leather would be really great. Anyone know who makes leather seats for that year? I want suggestions and input! I'll post pictures as the project rolls along.
Thanks
Charles

Probably better off taking it all out and wiping it down with rubbing alcohol - then priming and painting. I did that to my 82 about 10 years ago and was very pleased with the outcome.
If you are searching junkyards, you should be able to use the interior plastic from 82-86 models as they were all the same, but good luck finding all the pieces and in the condition you are seeking.
There USED to be a place in New Jersey somewhere called Menards Auto that dealt only in fox body mustangs. I got some door panels and GT seats out of an 85 when I did my project. They sold on three levels - worn, decent, and great condition. I specified great condition and they came through for me. No complaints - good luck finding them, I have no idea how to find them now.
