Default Detailer on Windows

I was giving my car a quick once over the other night and must have swapped towels by accident because my windshield, rear window, and passenger side window are smeared as fvck.

like someone took a clear poop then smudged it EVERYWHERE on those windows.

tried using invisiglass and some other window cleaner to absolutely no avail.

other than clay barring my windows, is there anything that does a good job of clearning up windows?

What about a degreaser followed by glass cleaner?

A spray on degreaser of some sort, I dont know.

I imagine it would work but is degreaser generally glass and potentially paint friendly?

I would avoid using it on paint...but then my father in law likes to use old school ether on everything. If ether isnt available, he breaks out the gas can.

try a glass cleaner like megs d120 or eco touch window clear

if not try one of the waterspot removers by chemical guys -- they have two either should work

otherwise try a quality apc like meg's apc+ or cg's allclean+

if somehow none of this work, try a degreaser ex. megs degreaser , cg grime reaper etc

if these don't work simply use an abrasive like cg v32 or m205

your glass is very tough and abused, you can only improve it

once your issue is resolved coat it with a quality wax or sealant to protect it and aid in keeping it clean and sheeting water off while driving.

Ended up using dawn in warm water with a wrung out dish cloth to remove the grease/detailer then hit it again with my cleaner.

much better but not perfect.

As long as you avoid the shaft, no problems there. Otherwise the chafing might get to ya.
