Default 3M Tape Removal!

A while back, some little twerp decided to yank one of the quarter louvers off my side window. Now on both sides I'm left with 3M Tape applied with adhesion promoter. I have tried EVERYTHING that the guys at Autozone could throw at it, from the highest end bug and tar remover, to straight rubbing alcohol and lighter fluid. Is there ANYTHING that will remove this crap??? I'm starting to think that this stuff is stronger than welding!

Go to an autobody store and ask them. My buddy is a bodyman and there are products that will take this off in 30 seconds but the name escapes me sorry.

Or even better, go to a body shop and ask them to take it off for you. If they are worth anything they will spend 2 mins for you.

As it turns out, there are no body specific stores. I called 2 different body shops and 2 detailing places, but neither of them sold off the shelf products.

Let them do it for you, worth it. Have you tried 3M adhesive remover?

WD-40 works good on a lot of glues and adhesives. Give it a try.

Xylene (xylol) works well for removing adhesive. Have you tried a single edge razor blade?
