I HATE BLACK PAINT
I just got finished washing our black mustang and I am so disappointed with it because every time I wash it, I find new hairlike scratches or new chips on the hood. The paint is so soft, you can even scratch it with your fingernail!
Are all colors like that or is it just the black paint from Ford? The vehicle will eventually have to be repainted in the future. Is there a difference in quality in automotive paint when it comes to durability against chipping?

i take my red gt to this body shop by my house bout twice a year, and for 55$ they wash the entire car, detail, wax, buff it and the "swirl marks are gone.....so many you should consider takin it to a good body shop by your house. I would recomend it
yea i wax and polish my red car ever month. and i looks great, even if i dont wash it for a week or two. keeps its shine perfectly. edit i also claybar my car every 6 months. you gatta keep up on the waxing and polishing. first clean the paint, polish it, then wax it, to protect it. and then it will shine up good and hide the hairline scratches.
i love not having one single scratch, dent or ding on my car

Black is surely a pain in the butt, I have the same problem when I wash. I always have to go back and get a couple spots over because its hard to get it perfect. I love the Meguiars stuff though, although I may try something new this year because I want something even better.
There really is no difference its just the amount of coats you do. The more coats of paint you have the better, I believe stock cars come with 2 or 3 coats then the clear.....

That's why you always send your black vehicle through a wand wash without using the brush or a touchless car wash, everything scratches black. Never once have I seen my father use a brush on his 03 Centenial Stang, and the paint still looks like new
