Black is surely a pain in the butt, I have the same problem when I wash. I always have to go back and get a couple spots over because its hard to get it perfect. I love the Meguiars stuff though, although I may try something new this year because I want something even better.
I use to ue Meguiars too,but after switching to Zaino,...WOW!!! Totally happy! You can go to their site and see and read testimonials.Excellent products. www.zainostore.com

So how long have to been using this wash mitt you have? You most likely have it loaded with dirt and debris and each time you wash you are causing more damage. Also i would suggest a new Sheepskin Mitt and two 5 gallon buckets. You use one bucket with the soapy water and the other with just plain ole water as a rinse bucket. Also i would suggest adding a grit guard into the bottom of each bucket. Then when you wash the car I would wash one small area at a time. Keep you old wash mitt for the fender wells. Here are a couple links for the how to's of proper washing. To much to type out.
