Default Body Work

Just got back from Iraq and the first thing I'm doing is getting some body work done. I'm getting the "Cobra" stamp on my bumper removed (it's a GT for cryin' out loud! @#$% previous owner...), the badges removed and the holes under them filled (I took off the cobra emblems, saw the holes, and put chevy V8 emblems on to cover them), my hood adjusted (put on poorly when purchased), and all the scrapes/dings etc are being touched up and buffed. The guy quoted me $1200, but said he'd do it all for an even grand. And that's a better price then a lot of the other places....there was one that was cheaper, but the guy I'm going to is a Stang fanatic, so he'll take care of her. He's also going to remove the cobra emblems from the rims and paint the center whatever I want, probably black, maybe white, dunno, free of charge.

Thoughts? Too expensive? I'm tired of the friggin' cobra stamp, and the hood has been driving me crazy. I could live with the chevy emblems, but I want a badgeless car.

There's a guy who lives down the street from me who owns a white V6. His car is plastered with GT symbols and badges, and it looks really lame. I'm amazed how many people try to pass their cars off for something that its not.

Just picked her up this morning...looks great! The bumper is flawless, the badges and holes are gone, and they took out the Cobra R emblems from the rims and painted the center black. They went over the car and got most of the dings out and even cleaned up some runs from the last time it got painted.

I'm happy. 1000 bucks more or less well spent, plus I just spent another grand on LTs and and an x-pipe, lol...

It was nasty as hell today, so if it's decent tomorrow I'll grab the camera and take a couple quick shots.
