Default quarter window moldings

Anybody have any good ideas to fix these sun-cracked buggers? Steeda makes a cover-up kit to hide them. How do these fit/look? I've also heard of guys priming them with high-build primer and sanding them, though that seems kind of temporary. Thanks for any input.
