Default Finally. Some Progress

Well I started tearing down my cowls over the Christmas break. The wife was off so I was able to spend more time on the car. That has changed now so I don't have as much free time.

I finally got the passenger side cowl "mostly" welded in place. I still have a couple spots at the windshield to do. No one ever told me how damn hard spot welding with Oxy is. I am using my number 4 tip to get the bottom panel to melt while the top one is running all over the place. Alot of filler, and alot of grinding!!!!

The first photo is of the patch I had to make in the center of the cowl since it was in pretty bad shape in that area. The next photos are the before, during and after photos.

Now I have to do thedriver's side (last photo) which is alot worse!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Well I will chime in too then..

"In the finest traditions of all who undertake a task that is worthy of the unholy title 'PIT OF DESPAIR', the effort, persistence, dedication, drive, lunacy, and the prevailing undeterred urge to prevent the death of something too far gone with too much invested to just walk away and let it rust back to mother Earth from which it was derrived"

Nice work, buy a mig....

That almost brought a tear to my eye. But I farted instead.
Mig is coming in June. In the mean time I'll finish the cowls and do the floor pans. Crappy welds won't be seen.
