Rear shocks? Coils?
I have a question on the rear shocks, when i took mine off, they had springs OVER the shocks? Like coilovers, and when i ordered new shocks, they didnt have these, and theyre is no way to bolt the springs on because the washers/stops and setupis welded to the shaft of the old shock. So, Why would they have Springs over the shocks? Was this stock? will it hurt to leave them off when i put my new ones on? -Jon
Stock setup is straight shock. Someone bought a coil over shock at somepoint and installed it. Usually done in an attempt to help prop up sagging rear leafs and control excessive 'bouce' from the worn out leafs.
thats exactly ehat was happening, lots of rear sag, i bought new leafs and shocks, and will be installing them within the next week, just wanted to check! BTW, hows my new sig? better than the ol' pontiac? -Jon
