Default Biggest Tires for a 71

71 with Magnum 500 15 x 7 rims. I think 235/65 will fit the rims but will they fit the car?

A 235/60-15 will fit with zero problems. I'll assume you have the correct offset (zero) rims.

They are the stock Magnum 500's. Will 235/60's fill out the wheel wells? Would 65's fill them out a little more without problems.

Shouldnt be a problem at all.. We have the big wheel wells... and engine bays... Colorado has quarters on his car so he can help you more with what is too big.. but a 235 65 15 should fit nice on the Magnum 500s.

This is why I'm saying 235/60-15 instead of 235/65-15. Not a whole lot available for either, but 7 times more for the 235/60.

FYI....245/60-16's with zero offset wheels. I could get a little wider in the back with a different offset, but not much, maybe a 265.

This is with 245/60-14's on the rear with the stock suspension:

Is that stock height? They really fill out the fender wells. You have 16's which I only have 15's. That is why I was thinking 65's would fill out a little better.

235/60-15's, at 26.1" tall, will be taller than what I have. My tires are 25.6" tall in both photos. The top photo is lowered about 1.5" all around. The bottom photo is the stock suspension.

Did you lower the front and rear or just the front? Did you just cut the front springs? How much was cut off of the coils.

I have 620 lb front coils that have a built in drop advertised as 1". More like 1.5" though. Rear is a mid-eye leaf (420lb I think) with a 1" lowering block.
