is it real?
66' GT was an A code, should have had a 4bbl. dual exhaust among other options. 5th digit in VIN should be the letter A, if it is a C it was not a GT. If it is a K.....buy it. T meant in had a 6 banger.
cool thanks, ill check it out, but my friend has a '68 California Special that is just sittin around slowly starting to rust. i think im gonna save it instead idk yet.

If the 5th digiit is an A or a K, then it COULD be a GT, but not all A code engines were put into only GT's. Only 14% of the A and K code engines went into the GT's. There is no way you can tell if it is a true GT. All the badges and equipment could have been added later.
However, here is an article that lists all the badges and equipment that the GT's had. I would suppose that if this car has ALL of this, then it most likely is a true factory GT. But, again, all of this stuff could have been added after it came from the factory.
