Heat question
After getting my car running again I noticed the two hoses that come into the engine through the firewall and go to the carb are awful warm. I'm not sure what these carry but I was a little concerned.
I ran the car a little tonight and same story. Is this just radiator fluid or is it something else?
Also, does anyone have a link to thermostat replacing? I'm not sure if mine works (or how to test it) so I wanted to get around to looking at replacing it before the summer

If so, that is probably correct. Plus, why would you be running the heater without the car running. Won't be hot, and it will drain your battery.
No it only runs when the car is driving, ie if I sit at idle it blows almost no air
hiya,
just to confrim the problem:
if your sitting there at idle and the blower (inside the car) is slow and when you rev it up the blower is running quicker and back to idle the blower is running slower again?
if that's the case your alternator might not be charging at idle and the blower demands too much power (lots of leafs stuck in there) .. ?? just an idea. check voltage over battery at idle and when revving.
