Default car stalls off the line

Hi,
I have a '65 289 c code. It runs strong but seems to stall a bit off the line. I thought it was the accelerator pump and had a new one put in and a tune up. Found something called a fuel miser in my fuel line and took it out. Still stalls. I live at 7,000 ft. alt. Any suggestions?
Thx, Walt

Advance your ignition timing about 4 degrees to compensate for the altitudiness...and lets us know what happens.
