Default Problem embedding links in text since the update

I used to be able to write text, and then highlight the text and add a link to another URL that way, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. How can I make a link, other than pasting the entire URL? Often, it's easier to make a link that says "click here" and have them click on that rather than cut & paste a URL thats 200 characters long.

Is it possible to do that again? Can;t seem to find the method to do it.

I did what you just said. Typed in text, highlighted it, pressed the 'Insert Link' button, then entered the URL.
