The problem started with not being able to start the 1965 in park all the time, sometimes I could drop it into neutral and start it there, other times neither position would work. It seemed just like a neutral safety switch but that did not fix it. The problem got worse and if the car does start it will stall as soon as I turn on anything electrical in cluding lights, wipers, brakes (brake light swith). Most of the time the car won't do anything at all when I turn the key but I can try it a second later and it starts but stalls as soon as I touch anything electrical. Has anyone delt with this before. I am guessing it is a short but what kind? thank you.
