battery light
Hey there,
I bought my 5.0 last fall, just starting to work on. On my way to work this morning I passed someone. Shortly after my battery light went on and my amps are down. Since my battery posts/cables were oxidized I thought it was time to change my battery. This being done there is no change in my amps or the presence of the battery light. My other thought is when changing the battery and also the clamps I noticed the copper in the +tive cable almost appears to look like plastic and the insulation within the cable appears to have deteriorated. Could it be as simple as replacing the battery cables? I was thing the alternator, but there are no other wonky issues with the lights/radio/signals and etc. Any ideas. I just want to be able to get home 30 miles away so I can take a better look.
thanks
