Lovebugs in Florida
I know this forum is for all over, but here in Florida we get "lovebugs" 2 times a year and they are an absolute pain in the -ss when it comes to the finish on your car. If you don't get them off quick and I mean within 24-48 hours, it will cause pits in your paint job. I know I've heard of all kinds of ideas to get them off like use a fabric softner sheet, which is stupid because it is plastic and I'm not using plastic to scrub something off my car, to spraying WD40 or Pam on your car to keep them from sticking.
If anybody else has this problem, I found something that does work, go to www.lovebugwipes.com, it's a towel that takes them right off and leaves a wax, it was $6 bucks.

I've heard the same things about dryer sheets and WD40. I find that advice about as worthless as bug and tar removers. Did you actually try those wipes out? Were they worth a damn?
Try driving at dark as much as possible. Love bugs bed down at dark. Of course, you'll have to deal with moths, but they do much less damage.
